Who was J.M.B.Jones ? He has a Cemetery named for him in Jonesville. Could he be kin to John Garland Jones ?
So far I haven't been able to find the father or mother of John G. Jones.
On the 1880 Census for Texarkana,Miller Co,.Ar, I found a John Jones living with a Crenshaw family and was single and a Teamster. He states he was born in Tx, his father born in Tn. and mother born in Tx. and he was about 28 years old and born ca. 1852/53.
I haven't been able to find a marriage record for John either.

On the 1880 Census for Garland,Miller Co. Ar, there is a George and Nancy Ward with a daughter Martha Ward age 14. born ca. 1866/67. If both ages of John and Martha are right and this is the right people on Census, then the ages stated by relatives and other researchers are wrong. I'm just not sure about either but will leave as is for now.
