Hans Justus Hite,son of Johannes Hite, born 15 Dec 1685 Bonfield,Gr married 11 Nov 1704 to Anne Maria Merckle born 16 Jan 1686 / 1687 Bonfield,Gr daughter of Abraham Merckle. She was also  married to Mr Dubois.

I have a note that states Jost Hites 2nd wife was the widow of Christian Neuenswander / Niswanger.  Some say that Justus was called Jost. Others say it was his father and some say uncle or brother.  . Much confusing information on the Heydt/Hyit/Hite family lines.

Sarah Bowman born 9 Feb 1740 Cedar Creek,Frederick Co. Va died Sept 1817 Garrard Co.Ky buried Bowman Cem. married 1758 Laurens Co, SC  to George Wright Jr. born 1737 Orange or Frederick Co.Va  son of George and Susannah__unknown Wright.

Susannah Wright born 1768-1770   died 1809 Laurens Co sc  Co, married to Jacob Niswanger born 15 March 1769 Frederick Co. Va, died 7 Dec 1831/1834 Laderdale Co.Tn. son of Col. John and Margaret Good Niswanger. .  I also have death date for Susannah as 1820/1831 ??

Amanda Olive Hite daughter of George and Mary Hite, died Volney,Ky. July 20 1860 in her 17th year.

There are two stories on the Internet about a JOSEPH BOWMAN ::   The Forgotten Long Knife and  Forgotten Hero.

It also mentioned brother ISAAC BOWMAN, father GEORGE BOWMAN and GEORGE BOWMAN's wife MARY HITE, daughter of JOIST HITE. Also go to my Odds and In's page,scroll untill you find an Inscription on Ft. Bowman.
