I have a note that states Jost Hites 2nd wife was the widow of Christian Neuenswander / Niswanger.  Some say that Justus was called Jost. Others say it was his father and some say uncle or brother.  . Much confusing information on the Heydt/Hyit/Hite family lines.

There are two stories on the Internet about a JOSEPH BOWMAN ::   The Forgotten Long Knife and  Forgotten Hero.
