The first thing I noticed about the Bristow's is that there are so many Samuel's. They are in nearly every state in the U.S. The next thing was David C. Bristow stated his father was born in Tenessee,but most have him born in Va. There was a Samuel Bristow born there around the 1500's with a son Samuel Jr. Go figure.
This may or may not be the line of Samuel Bristow
The parents of Samuel born ca. 1700's may have been Samuel and Ann Guthery / Guthrie / Guthry Bristow
Samuel Bristow married Lavinia Little [ some have her listed as Lavinia Marshall ] Was she married to a Mr. Marshall first ? I have thought all along that this Lavinia was a Little and not a Marshall. Look below to the other Lavina Bristow born 1870 who married John Marshall. Could this be causing all the confusion ?
