Baggett Family

I woulk like to thank Elsie Baggett Smith for a great deal of searching and gathering information on the Baggett line, also Jane Biter Toone for her imput on the Baggett/Biter line. [Her grandmother and my grandmother were sisters]

Some of this is guess work on my part but will correct information as it comes in.

There are a lot of very old and distinguished surnames in the Baggett line.

We belive that Micajah Baggett son of James Baggett Jr. to be the father of our Allen Thomas Baggett...      Micajah born abt.1785 NC died 1833 Montgomery Co. Tenn married 1 Dec 1808 Montgomery co. Tenn to Ally / Allie Parker born abt. 1795 NC died abt. 1880 Montgomery Co. Tenn. and if and when proven wrong I will change it.

Did the Parker family travel with the Baggett family from NC to Tenn?? Who was her parent's ??

A note on Denningtons

I know I should have put this on my Odds and Ends page but since I have Denningtons on the Baggett side I thought I would put it here

James Dennington married Ellen Elizabeth Gaines, she was Cherokee Indian. They were from Kuttawa,Ky. They had 11 children

1. James Abraham Dennington, he broke his back from a fall off a bridge while at work in Indiana, he died at the  home farm in Seneca,Mo.

2. Mae Dennington married Mr Mahon

3. John Dranford Dennington at age 17 lost a leg in a sawmill accident and had a wooden leg.

4. Henry Clay Dennington died while working on the Golden Gate bridge, the year they finished it.

5. Charlotte Melvina Dennington married Guy Humphreys

6. Mary Robert Dennington born 7 Jan 1897 Ky married Simon Peter Tate

7. Russell P.Dennington died  building a bridge in Chicago,Il
